I'm a UW music grad in classical and jazz theory/history.
I have a long pro career performing classical, jazz, pop, country, top 40, casinos, clubs, festivals, private events, fairs, weddings, corporate, etc.
I'm a good guitarist/bassist with the training to back it up.
Not selling how great I am because I'm not into that - I just like quality and good musicianship and I strive for that.
I've done a lot of cover band work in my career so not interested in doing more of that, HOWEVER I'm a musician and want to play commercial music for the public, just not the standard classic rock stuff (nothing against it, been there done that).
Interested in groove music for dancing and different genres and variation is what I dig.
I would really like to find some educated experienced musicians that would like to do something a little more sophisticated, not personal nostalgia - Groove Groove Groove and I'm open to different eras, styles, genres as long as its Groove oriented and the musicianship level is high.
I'm a song
player, not a virtuoso chops guy.
My primary goal is above average quality and fun - my pro career is in the rear view mirror, but my desire to perform for people is what I live for.
Music is my whole life, not my hobby.
But now is fun time and yes - I'm a baby boomer, but I do not live in the past, but playing for people in this area requires commercial compromises and familiar music so country, soul, reggae, etc.
Just no current top 40 or hits because I'm too aged to sell that or be that.
What I can sell is high quality grooves.
And by the way, I'm a serious composer.
I have a lot of original material related to all the above.
Thanks
