Job Description: Johnsonlink Orthodontics is looking for a passionate and energetic Orthodontic Assistant to join our well-established practice.
This position will require travel to our three practice locations.
About the role: The Orthodontic Assistant is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner.
The Orthodontic Assistant is performing a wide range of orthodontic procedures, as well as assists the doctor during appointments, sterilization procedures, and occasional minor lab work.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system Take x-rays, photos, impressions, and intraoral scans Provide patient instruction/education Provide reports to parents/guardians Assist Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager Qualifications: Dental experience is required, Orthodontic experience is preferred Washington State Registered Dental Assistant Good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations Proficiency with orthodontic/dental management software systems is preferred, but not required Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members, and the community Keen attention to detail and time management skills What you will benefit from: A competitive hourly wage Health coverage, employer contribution to a retirement plan, uniform allowance Monday to Friday, no evening or weekend work Being part of a collaborative and engaging team that prioritizes employee development Partnering with and learning from an experienced network of professionals On-the-job training Safe work environment Lively atmosphere How to Apply: Please submit your current resume along with three professional references.
