m to 3:00 p.
m.
, rotating schedule (1 position) Evening shift from 2:30 p.
m.
to 11:00 p.
m.
, rotating schedule (remaining 3 positions) *This position has been posted within the assigned pay range through Step L.
Step M has not been published as this is considered the longevity step, in alignment with state HR compensation rules.
Position(s) at this location will also receive 5% Premium Pay for facilities open twenty four hours per day.
Employees must physically work at the facility 3 days per workweek to qualify.
The 5% Premium Pay is in effect until June 29th, 2025.

In addition, we provide critical community services through a variety of programs, and at our four State Veterans Homes located in Orting, Port Orchard, Spokane, and Walla Walla.
These locations provide Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care to honorably discharged veterans, including, in some instances, their spouses, widows, or Gold Star Families.
As the Licensed Practical Nurse 2, you will assist in the delivery of nursing and nursing-related care to residents of the Washington Veterans Home and supervise assigned residents with activities of daily living, monitoring and recording all aspects of care, passing medications, administering oxygen, and other areas of resident care.
Your role promotes person-centered care and ensures America's heroes are treated with dignity and respect.
Duties Some of what you will be doing: Preparing, carrying out, evaluating, and revising treatment plans for individual residents based on personal observations and recommendations of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and/or other nurses.
Suctioning patients, administering oxygen, catheterization, irrigation, administering IV solutions, providing colostomy and trach care, and maintaining gastric feeding tubes and pumps.
Assisting with routine rehabilitative and maintenance care.
Reporting and recording physical and psychosocial changes.
Administering, monitoring, and recording treatments, assessing resident condition, including skin assessment and promoting resident participation in recreational activities.
Assisting residents with positioning, transferring, and ambulation.
Qualifications Required: Valid Washington State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs.
frequently using proper techniques, capable of reaching for activities such as repositioning or to gain access to supplies, and capable of pushing or pulling with sufficient strength.
Employee must be able to walk, sit, and bend in an unrestricted manner on a consistent basis during the entire workday.
Accurate methods and practices of nursing and restorative care; personal hygiene and sanitation methods, recordkeeping, report preparation, infection control procedures and resident rights.
Ability to assess, evaluate, and participate in the development of appropriate plans of care.
Ability to plan, implement, and document appropriate discharge planning for residents when appropriate and perform selected nursing procedures.
Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language for medical charts and data entry.
Preferred/Desired: Long-term care experience.
One (1) year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
