Human Resources Consultant Assistant 2 - Training DepartmentFull-time PermanentClallam Bay Corrections CenterThe Department of Corrections (DOC), Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Human Resources Consultant Assistant 2 (HRCA2) in CBCC's training department.
Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900-bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula.
It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island.
This facility houses medium and close custody incarcerated individuals.
CBCC also operates a Restricted Housing Unit.
Whether the work is inside a prison, in community corrections, or in an administrative office, the Washington State Department of Corrections professional staff experience a high degree of personal satisfaction knowing they are creating environments in which all incarcerated individuals can learn to make choices that contribute to a safer society.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES This position reports directly to and works with the CBCC Facility Performance Coordinator (FPC) to ensure the smooth operation of the Performance Center.
Duties: Working under the supervision and direction of the CBCC FPC, provides customer service for CBCC staff members.
Tracks training participation, data entry, and report management in the Learning Center database.
Ensures assignment of Learning Plans and Course Assignments are accurate in the database.
Enrolls staff into class offerings, processes attendance, and completes the gradebook for each session.
Creates and pulls simple to complex reports within the Learning Center.
Provides monthly reports to Facility Performance Coordinator for training compliance.
Instructs and facilitates Department of Corrections courses, Administrative Orientation, and online training.
Coordinates and oversees Administrative Orientation for all new staff.
Inputs data into training compliance tracking report.
Assists FPC and Roster with scheduling of uniform and non-uniform staff by compliance expiration dates.
Notifies staff in writing of scheduled classes.
Maintains training dates on Sharepoint.
