Certified Coder

The Certified Coder is responsible for performing medical, dental, and behavioral health coding for reimbursement through documentation review, as well as abstracting billable services to capture missed revenue and submit claims.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for posting charges, adjustments, and payments to patient accounts on a daily basis, assuring accuracy of posting for all agency sites Complete third-party billing on a daily basis Work accounts, rebilling third-party payers Assist with credit balance and small balance report and resolve Assist with small balance report and resolve Assist with aged trial balance report and assist in collection procedures Familiar with using electronic health record (Ex.
Athena and NextGen) Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct reports.
