Position Summary
Assist in various tasks or duties consistent with pharmacy technician licensure as outlined by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy and NOHN policies.
Must be flexible and helpful in assisting the responsible pharmacist(s) to improve the operation of NOHN in support of the mission; to provide patient-centered, quality-driven, whole-person healthcare services, accessible to everyone in our community.
Primary Accountabilities
Achieve Results
Support NOHN’s 340B Referrals Program
Provide support for NOHN's Health Care Entity (HCE) license, including inventory management (stocking, expirations, organization) and inspections.
Provide real time clinical staff support for clinic medication supplies.
Provide support or back up as needed of NOHN Pharmacy Assistant including prior authorization requests and patient medication assistance programs
Support NOHN retail pharmacy operations
Able to ensure patient safety and provide excellent customer service
Able to support pharmacy workflow including enter new prescriptions data, chronic medical conditions, and allergy information into the pharmacy computer system, process refill prescriptions, count and pour medications, pack and label medications, receive and restock all incoming medications shipments, perform inventory functions, resolve all billing issues such as insurance claim rejections, prior authorizations in a timely and efficient manner, receive and process requests for refills from patients over the phone, triage and priority patient’s requests, use Point of Sale (POS), receives payment, and processes credit payments
Perform other pharmacy technician duties outlined by Ancillary Utilization Plan
Aware of and adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures
Interacts with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
Support compliance with the Health Resources and Service Administration Office of Pharmacy Affairs with regard to the 340B program
Utilize Epic EMR as needed for patient or pharmacy specific medication records
Operational Excellence
Utilize proper and consistent application of Lean methodologies and tools (kaizen, kanban)
Support compliance with all Washington State pharmacy requirements
Responsible Management
Maintain effective, positive relationships with staff, peers, and management
Position Requirements
Education
Successful completion of a Board-approved pharmacy technician training program
Remain in good standing with the WA State Board of Pharmacy
Pharmacy Technician License (Washington) required at time of hire

- Must have the ability to do the following:
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Stand and/or sit for long periods of time, up to 8 hours.

- Available for occasional overtime/extended work hours.
