General Description
The Marketing Manager is COTN’s lead writer and terminal (final) editor.
He/She supports marketing, communications, and fundraising goals and objectives at COTN by assisting in the creation and coordination of materials and activities related to acquisition, partner engagement and donor development.
This position will also manage our direct response agency and other marketing vendors, marketing analytics, the website, SEO/SEM expenditures, media development and initiation of creative writing projects.
The department also manages the logistics for major special events (mostly banquets) and has an Event Coordinator for that role.
The position reports directly to the VP Advancement.
Job Description Detail:
Work with the VP Advancement to recommend strategy and direction for the
Manages three staff: Graphics Designer, Marketing Coordinator, Event Coordinator
Act as Lead Writer for the Marketing Team
Act as Lead Editor for all of COTN
In concert with the VP Advancement, identify acquisition/fundraising opportunities and collaborate with other departments by providing creative collateral materials that help launch key initiatives.
Manage marketing projects in ClickUp, track deadlines for
Manage email lists, track analytics and email marketing
Create 3 digital campaigns: World Water Day, Kitsap Great Give, Giving (and others as assigned)
Create, manage, and track Facebook
Develop, expand, and maximize Social Media platforms, posting blogs, current updates, video, and “evergreen” content.
Create digital graphics for campaigns and Video.
Manage Google Ads with Nonprofit Megaphone, track
Work with IT team to optimize SEO, web functions, and site
A/B testing (ads and emails)
Support Partner Communication needs associated with reporting, thanking, and funding
Update Proforma and Vital
Annual collaboration to provide supporting collateral materials for Fall Banquets
Adhere to COTN policies and procedures (including, but not limited to, those set forth in new hire documents, employee handbook, Corporate Identity Guide, and Editorial Style Guide).

Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe suite, MailChimp, ClickUp or similar software management programs.
Social media management experience.
Knowledge of fundraising principles and practice.
3-5 years of experience in communications and marketing preferred.
Associate degree preferred.
