The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Senior Youth Program Director to join our team!

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
As a Senior Youth Program Director, you will provide an impactful member experience by developing and maintaining youth program operations for the branch.
You will ensure high-quality member-focused programs through innovative program development, evaluations, and ongoing staff training.
In this position, you will be responsible for the creation, planning, and evaluation of Youth, Teen, and family programs; including dance, youth sports, and Late Nite programs.
You willmaintain great internal and external member relationships and deliver a successful member experience through programs and engagement as outlined in association standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote youth programs and/or membership growth for the YMCA.
Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
Coordinate special events and activities.
Provide data and reports as required for assigned programs.
Collaborate with the Association Operational Focus Groups and other directors of YMCA PKC branches to ensure consistent association-wide programming.
Develop and maintain collaborations with agencies in the community to promote volunteer development.
Respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
Develop and control department budgets related to the position.
Hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers in assigned areas.
Facilitate communication and provide leadership.
Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent (preferred).
Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency (preferred).
Knowledge of and experience in directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising (preferred).
Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations.
Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification (preferred).
YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent, CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid, and Oxygen certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Compensation: $65,478.
40 to $67,478.
40 per year, depending on qualifications
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Location: Haselwood Family YMCA, Silverdale, WA
