on a rotating schedule.
*This position has been posted within the assigned pay range through Step L.
Step M has not been published as this is considered the longevity step, in alignment with state HR compensation rules.
Position(s) at this location will also receive 5% Premium Pay for facilities open twenty four hours per day.
Employees must physically work at the facility 3 days per workweek to qualify.
The 5% Premium Pay is in effect until June 29th, 2025.

In addition, we provide critical community services through a variety of programs, and at our four State Veterans Homes located in Orting, Port Orchard, Spokane, and Walla Walla.
These locations provide Medicare and Medicaid nursing home care to honorably discharged veterans, including, in some instances, their spouses, widows, or Gold Star Families.
As the Nursing Assistant Lead, you will assist in the delivery of nursing and nursing-related care to residents of the Washington Veterans Home and mentor newly assigned Nursing Assistants.
You will also assist and/or supervise assigned residents with activities of daily living and promote person-centered care to ensure our residents are treated with dignity and respect.
If you want to make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their Families, apply now! Duties Some of what you will be doing: Providing assistance to residents with activities of daily living (i.
e.
, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, and eating).
Assisting residents with positioning, transferring, and ambulation.
Ensuring a safe and secure working environment, including preventive infection control methods.
Recording care, vital signs, and observations in residents' clinical chart.
Caring for resident's personal clothing, belongings, and equipment.
Assisting with range of motion exercises, practicing infection control techniques, and observing and reporting to licensed personnel changes in resident condition and skin condition.
Qualifications Required: High school diploma AND Current, valid Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification.
Six (6) months of experience involving customer service in a healthcare setting OR six (6) months of experience involving direct patient care.
Current active status on Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act Registry.
Desired: Long-term nursing care experience.

Must remain current in CPR after hire.
Requires medical evaluation, fit testing, training and use of respiratory protection as required by the WA Industrial Safety & Act standards.
Positions requiring travel must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and must be insured if driving a privately owned vehicle on state business.
