Key Responsibilities: *Leadership Excellence:* Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, safety, respect, integrity, and commitment.
*Strategic Management:* Execute cost control procedures, manage budgets effectively, and implement processes to exceed customer expectations.
*Team Collaboration:* Engage employees at all levels to identify innovative solutions and ensure efficient project completion.
Foster an effective relationship with bargaining unit representatives.
*Project Management:* Develop, monitor, and modify project processes to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
*Communication and Coordination:* Maintain clear communication and coordination with all stakeholders to meet contractual obligations.
*Facility and Vessel Management:* Ensure effective completion of tasks related to vessel deactivation, maintenance, preservation, and reactivation.
*Security and Compliance:* Maintain high levels of physical security and enforce the management of classified material.
*Client Relationship:* Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Contracting Office Representative (COR) and provide regular project updates.
*Continuous Improvement:* Debrief completed projects, develop improvement plans, and implement lessons learned.
*Reporting:* Provide timely and accurate reports and documentation to corporate leadership and the COR.
Qualifications: Minimum: · Four-year college degree with at least 5 years of ship maintenance-related experience, OR 15 years of ship maintenance-related experience, of which at least seven (7) years involved management/leadership level responsibilities.
· Previous experience working with a Bargaining Unit.
· Proven experience in project management, preferably in the Ship maintenance and repair.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Effectively manage financial performance, budget control, work planning, resource management and scheduling for operations.
· Familiarity with Government contracts and FAR.
Work in coordination with Contracts department as it pertains to Contracts and Subcontract review and execution.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
· Experience in facility and vessel management is a plus.
Secret Clearance Required Preferred: · The above + minimum 10 years as a Naval Officer or Senior Enlisted with a background in Engineering or Operations.
