Bar Supervisor
General Position Summary:
Assists the manager in the general operation and supervision of all bar personnel at PME to include the main lounge, satellite bars, and hotel bar.
Works with bar staff to provide Clearly Superior Customer Service at all times while maintaining liquor board rules & regulations relative to service, cut-offs and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Main focus is on the gaming floor.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Assists the Bar Manager in supervision of the bar service areas
In the absence of the Bar Manager, will assist with the ordering of liquor and inventory
Provides input to the manager on evaluations, corrective action and keeps the manager informed of employee issues
May assist the manager in the preparation of the weekly bar schedule
Works with the Bar Manager to insure adequate staffing in the lounge especially during sporting events and promotions and during entertainment
Assists the manager with training personnel and insuring all employees are TIPS certified
Closely monitors the customer flow in the lounge to insure that adequate staffing levels are maintained and that optimum food service is achieved
In the absence of the manager will coordinates with Security in planning of special events, for the protection of both guests and employees
Utilizes an opening and closing checklist as a mechanism to maintain clean and sanitary work stations
Relieves servers, bartenders and bar backs as necessary to support the needs of the business
Works with the Bar Manager to promote a spirit of teamwork while holding to established policies and procedures (i.
e.
, dress code, alcohol cut-offs, etc)
Specific Job Skills:
Knowledge in all aspects of operating and running cocktail lounge(s) & bar(s)
A minimum of one year P.

Excellent math skills
Knowledge of all regulations regarding health and safety for employees and guests
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or GED required.
Two (2) or more years of experience working in a bar.
One (1) year supervisory experience.
Completion of supervisory training courses required.
Must be 21 years of age .

Job Conditions:
Working conditions include working in an office setting with a computer and other equipment.
Other conditions include working in casino areas during busy times of the day and night and crowded conditions.
Conditions will also include frequent interruptions, evenings, week-ends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended hours.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
