Purchased new in 2016-2017, been kept under cover and used every season to split 2-4 cords of wood.
I've only used the can gas, so the carb stays clean and starts right up every year.
It is really fuel efficient, usually only fill up one time and run it for 2-3 hours and that will split 2 cords easily in that time.
I once timed how fast I could split just by myself and I got almost 2 cords split in an hour, but I was hustling, just going easy you can do 1 cord in 1 hour and be done.
Only selling because we are moving out of state next summer.
I recently replaced the hardware that holds the covers on, some of the bolts have broken over the year but the remaining ones hold everything just fine.
Track and gears were greased and belts inspected.
Belts & Air filters replaced in 2021.
These are comparable to the Super Splitter or the older DR Rapidfire Splitters, it only has one lever that initiates the flywheel, at some point in the last few years the Karens of the world made them add an additional safety levers that requires both hands to activate.
This is not wanted, when you have large logs it helps to hold in place when you activate.
I have split some huge 40" inch plus Western Hemlock rounds, these would take a long time to split manually or with a hydraulic splitter.
It also works great on huge knots, or multiple knot rounds.
Specs:
40-ton rated Cast Iron Flywheels
6 HP Kohler Command Pro Gas engine - Commercial grade rated for 12hr continuous duty - daily rated
2" Coupler Ball Receiver
Located on bainbridge island, I have some rounds left you can test on if you want, must pickup, cash or bitcoin only.
These are hard to find, overbuilt compared to the newer copycat imports that have flooded the market now.
Will not hold unless you want to pay or hold via bitcoin.
