Eccremocarpus scaber
Common Name(s): Chilean Glory FlowerGlory Vine
Chilean Glory Flower is a tender perennial native to Chile.
Its roots can survive winters in zone 8 with protection and can be grown as an annual in cooler zones.
This vine will grow up to 10-15 feet long in warm climates and flower for the growing season with racemes of tubular red or orange flowers.
This plant prefers fertile moist soil in full sun but will tolerate some shade.
The soil needs to be kept moist at all times.
Seedlings transplanted outdoors at the beginning of May will typically bloom from mid-summer to frost.
This annual vine is mean for trellises, pergolas, walls, fences.
It is quite showy so grown.
I have a few in six pacs should anyone want to give it a try.
