Haemanthus albiflorus (syn.
albiflos) - This is a rare African bulb with broad tongues of leaves and fleshy flowering stems topped with large, fat white brushes with a heavy speckling of yellow anthers.
Makes for a good cool greenhouse or windowsill candidate in an east exposure.
Grow it tight in a shallow clay pot.
The broad tongues of leaves are evergreen and quite handsome - very nice in the ground - creating a tropical looking ground cover of bold leaves over time where it can be grown outdoors.
Let it go relatively dry between waterings.
Hardy to the mid 20's as long as it is on the dry side.
I am open on Saturday 9-4.
These are LARGE 3 inch pots!!!
