Summary
Our Transport Drivers play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing.
Responsible for moving product, invoices and Point of Sale materials in a timely and safe manner between our branches and satellite docks.
Our transport drivers complete all necessary CDL safety and pre-trip checks including fueling.
They will verify the load being delivered as well as return any dunnage or pallets to the warehouse and ensure the secure transport of invoices and payments from accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Unload and reload transport trailers on delivery trucks in a safe, timely and professional manner.
Update and Load Driver PDA's
Handle all Company products according to Company standards
Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with through your job
Complete Safety Pre-Trip Checks according to Government and Company standards
Pick up and securely deliver out of market invoices and customer payments
Adhere to and follow all company policies, procedures and governmental regulations
Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulation
Accurately clock in and out, adhering to state labor laws
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times
Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned

This Job operates indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position.
Days/hours of work vary & may include weekends & overtime as necessary.
Travel

Required Education and Experience
Minimum of 21 years of age
High school diploma or GED required
Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Maintain valid driver's license with current certification and acceptable driving record
Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous beverage industry experience
six (6) months previous driving experience
Compensation
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

Employees are also eligible for 80 hours of vacation every year and 7-8 days of paid holidays throughout the calendar year (depending on location).
