Bainbridge Senior Living has an opportunity for a Part-Time Driver to join our team! We are four family-owned and operated Assisted Living & Retirement Communities along Winslow Way on beautiful Bainbridge Island.
*Summary:*
The primary purpose of the Driver is to provide safe and efficient transportation of Senior Living residents via the company van and bus to medical appointments, shopping trips, day tours, social and/or recreational outings and special events
*Responsibilities:*
* Carry groceries and other items purchased by resident on and off the bus
* Flexibility with schedule, such as time reporting to or leaving work as this can change due to traffic or change in appointments or activities
* Maintain a records of receipts for things such as fuel or vehicle maintenance
* Operate ADA Compliant wheelchair lift/ramp equipment
* Be able to assist residents in and out of the vehicle and use specifically outfitted seatbelts and straps to secure wheelchairs during transportation
* Be familiar with the local medical facilities within the local and surrounding community
* Comply with DOT Driver regulation and inspection processes regulated by FMCSA such as, Daily vehicle inspect, Driver Log schedule.
Monitor basic maintenance requirements.
Inspect interior/exterior of vehicle for vacuuming and washing, ensuring gas tank is full as required to standard set by Life Enrichment Director
* Work collaboratively with Life Enrichment Director and coworkers
* Report noted behavior changes in residents
* Complete an Incident Report as required by each event at the time of the event; resident or employee related
* Participate in continuing education programs and meetings as required
* Performs other duties as assigned
*Requirements:*
* Valid Driver’s License
* 5 years of clean driving experience
* Ideal candidate will be a licensed HCA or CNA, or be willing to get licensed with the assistance of our company
