A Bremerton CPA firm is recruiting individuals to join our professional staff as senior accountants.
We are looking for candidates that want to work and learn about various fields of accounting, including audit, tax and general accounting within a small accounting firm.
Opportunities would be given to assist with and even lead engagement teams in all phases of the engagement.
Our firm offers attestation services that include audit, review, compilation, preparation, and agreed upon procedures.
Our firm offers all levels of tax services including corporation, fiduciary, exempt organization, partnership, and individual tax preparation, IRS correspondence and resolution, and tax planning.
Staff are provided with hands-on training with the guidance and mentorship from seasoned professionals.
_*Qualifications \\ Experience*_
* CPA or CPA candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting
* Required two years of experience in public accounting
_*Qualities*_
* Is self-disciplined and able to work independently, but is also capable of working as part of a team
* Can communicate well, both orally and written
* Has the ability to use critical thinking skills
* Is very attentive to details
_*Technical Skills*_
* Knowledge of financial statement preparation
* Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
* Knowledge in personal and business income taxes, is a plus, but not required
_*Responsibilities*_
* Assist with engagement planning including risk assessment and materiality
* Interviewing clients with respect to fraud, internal controls, understanding the entity and analytical review
* Provide assistance and support to staff accountants and paraprofessionals
* Assist with the design and update of standardized working papers
* Assist with the research and implementation of new professional standards
* Communication with client concerning deliverables and engagement timeline
* Assist with the creation of formal engagement correspondence
* Prepare federal income tax returns
* Assist with client tax planning
* Assist with new tax client acquisition and development

* $65K - $80K annual compensation, with employer paid benefits and paid vacation
* Pay depends on qualification, and prior experience
